Maybe I should list mine on ebay and see how it goes?
I´m surprised about the price. £6,900 for a Car like that looks in such a way that the prices rise!? Not bad.
André
Perhaps prices are starting to rise now and the last thing we need is enthusiasts talking them down so here's hoping the cars are getting the recognition they are long overdue
Dearest mgr of 2016, 6.9k and lets say 3k as a total loss , so a 10k car, someone is happy. I bugged out at 3500k
Colin
if prices are comparable, yours must be £13k then
Good to see prices lift, the prediction is up over the coming years as they become fewer. Hope it does not fall through.
Well, lets not get to excited. The winning bidder has been a prat and withdrawn his bid claiming he didn't know it was a Cat D when he first bid and that I changed the terms of the ad. after he bid. What I did do was confirm it was a Cat D as many people had been asking. He reckons he bought another car in the meantime. I did state it as a write off initially and he bid on that. Cat D is the least serious of write off categories so what was he thinking? Other questions - why did he continue to bid? Anyway its not a write off now so that's even better.
Anyway, not all is lost as at least one of the other bidders is still interested and I may contact earlier bidders if that one doesn't come through.
Why are people such prats?
Happens all too often on flea bay
Hope you get on better with the other bidders :thumb

Well, finally said goodbye to her today. Sad to her that lovely engine for the last time as it drove off. Final sale price £5350. Less than that silly bidder had pushed it too but a fair price for a car that needs some work. It you take the insurance companies view that it would take £2400 for the body work and then address the other issues I think you could be looking at a value of 9K for a good car of this age and miles.
